I use my Airpods for everything. I didn’t realise how many headphones I‘ve bought to fix my irritation with not having the perfect set for each situation. I think this problem is now solved.
I have been using five sets of headphones over the last year, and they’ve been slowly driving me nuts.
5 Headphones! For what?
- Gaming Headset
- Skype Bluetooth headset so I can move around
- Bluetooth Earpiece for talking on the move. Didn’t last long as it still looks terrible and sound quality is poor.
- Over ears Bluetooth headset for gym
- Apple wired Earpods for work, etc.
Sure, this is overkill, but wires irritate me at gym when they hook on everything, ditto for trying to type and chat on skype, and walking and talking. Same for gaming.

I’ve had the Airpods for a week, and I almost never take them out. Super comfortable, near-instant connect, no more fiddling around with Bluetooth or wondering how the hell those wires can create crazy knots, while frantically trying to put them in my ears and the phone as a call comes in.
These are a revolution in headphones. The quality of listening and calling is excellent, and battery is a non-issue as they’re always charging in the case. If someone chats to you, pop them out, and they pause, put them back in your ears, and they resume instantly.
And yes, they work with Android. Try them; I’m sure you’ll love them.
